James Cook, FNP-C joined the US Navy in 1998 and was stationed on NASNI, Coronado Island, CA. During his time in the Navy, James was also stationed on the USS John C. Stennis where he was a mechanic on C-2 Greyhounds. He spent the first part of his nursing career taking care of children at St. Lukes’ Pediatric Intensive Care Unit in Boise, Idaho. James continued working in multiple nursing disciplines with a strong emphasis on emergency medicine at Blue Mountain Hospital, while pursuing his master’s degree at OHSU. In early 2020, James became a Family Nurse Practitioner. James and his spouse welcomed their second child to the family in November of 2021. They enjoy outdoor activities such as hiking, camping and kayaking.
